Brazil has a well-established regulatory model that governs the area of competition law overseen by a regulatory body, which in recent years has garnered a reputation of being one of the best agencies of its kind in the Americas. As a result, competition law practice in the Brazil has become increasingly complex, requiring multidisciplinary analysis while also demanding the highest level of technical rigor.

KLA’s Economic and Competition Law practice comprises a multi-disciplinary team of professionals from different practice areas with vast experience (civil law, public law, criminal law, compliance and economics) to assist clients in investigations conducted by CADE involving anticompetitive behavior, in addition to the submission and monitoring of acts of economic concentration, internal investigations, evaluation of commercial policies and practices, as well as the development of taillor-made compliance programs for clients of all economic backgrounds.

At present KLA assists a wide spectrum of clients from diverse areas of economic activity, among others heavy industry, retail, the pharmaceutical industry, auto parts and telecommunications. The team of professionals has more than 10 years of experience in this practice area.
