KLA is pleased to announce the appointment of Maurício Veiga as a partner in June, strengthening the firm’s Corporate Law, M&A, and Infrastructure practices.
Maurício brings nearly 12 years of experience advising Brazilian and international clients on mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions, representing investment funds, multinational companies, and financial institutions. He also advises on infrastructure projects in Brazil throughout the structuring, development, and operational phases, with particular expertise in the energy sector, including distributed generation and self-generation energy projects.
Before joining KLA, Maurício worked at leading Brazilian law firms, where he gained extensive experience in large-scale and highly complex transactions. He holds a Law degree from Fundação Getulio Vargas and a Master of Science in Decision Making and Applied Analytics from Minerva University (San Francisco, USA), where his thesis focused on the valuation of artificial intelligence companies by venture capital funds. He also completed an exchange program in International Business Law at Tilburg University (Netherlands).
According to KLA’s Executive Committee, Maurício’s appointment as partner reflects the firm’s commitment to bringing together professionals with strong technical expertise and a business-oriented approach, further enhancing the firm’s ability to provide coordinated, strategic, and highly specialized support to its clients.
“Maurício’s arrival comes at the perfect time to meet our clients’ growing needs, particularly in connection with significant transactions in the technology, energy, and infrastructure sectors. We are very excited to welcome him to the team,” said Karin Alvo, Founding Partner, member of KLA’s Executive Committee, and partner in the firm’s Corporate Law, M&A, Private Equity, and Venture Capital practice.
