KLA advised IBCMED, a subsidiary of Inspirali and Ânima’s medical education division, on its acquisition of a controlling interest in Caliper Escola de Imagem, a leading provider of healthcare education courses. Caliper’s portfolio includes postgraduate programs, exam preparation courses, extension programs, and continuing education courses designed for healthcare professionals at different stages of their careers.
Inspirali brings together the medical education portfolio of the Ânima Group, one of Brazil’s largest educational organizations. Within this structure, IBCMED operates as a continuing medical education platform, offering advanced and complementary training for physicians and other healthcare professionals after graduation.
The transaction reinforces IBCMED’s growth strategy in the continuing medical education segment. Through the acquisition, IBCMED adds to its portfolio a well-established brand in healthcare professional training, with a strong focus on diagnostic imaging, particularly ultrasonography.
At KLA, the Corporate Law, Mergers and Acquisitions practice advised on the transaction, led by partners Mariana Cortez and Patrícia Braga, together with associates Rodrigo Lima, Camila Cortez, and Christian Taeger.
